The most embarrassing bug
It was an ordinary day. I logged into analytics to quickly peek at recent errors. And to my surprise, I found a full screen of feedback responses. For comparison, I usually get 3-4 responses per month. It all started pretty calmly, asking to remove the feedback sheet since it pops up every time the app is displayed, to literally screaming and threatening to leave the app.
I was so embarrassed that I turned red. How could I make such a stupid mistake!
The bug fix took 15 minutes. The embarrassment is still with me. I hope I saved that person as a user. After all, they struggled for two weeks, yet kept using the app.
But this was such a clear signal that HandsOnMoney provides enough value, so someone is ready to struggle and still use the app. That's a pure value validation!
